Developed and operated by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), Cyber Essentials is considered the best first step to a more secure network, ensuring protection from 80% of the most basic cyber security breaches. Cyber Essentials Plus goes one step further with rigorous testing by an external, hands-on, cyber security expert. It is a robust set of tests on an organisation’s cyber security systems – checking that we are protected against hacking and phishing attacks.

G2 Speech is delighted to announce that we recently achieved certification to Cyber Essentials Plus, the higher level qualification forming part of the UK Government-backed Cyber Essentials Scheme. In order to achieve certification to Cyber Essentials Plus, a third party hands-on technical verification was conducted to ensure G2 Speech fully met the requirements of five basic control areas (access control, secure configuration, software updates, malware protection and firewalls and routers). This technical assessment was conducted by the certification body URM Consulting Services and involved a thorough vulnerability scan.
