Here, ambient speech is used for a two-way conversation to record the patient’s concerns, the doctor’s questions and the solutions that come from the appointment or consultation. A transcription is made in real-time so that the notes are quickly available to look back on.

For patients with complex problems and needs, MDT meetings require different expertise and have many people involved – something that can be difficult to minute-take, record and summarise into a medical report quickly and efficiently.
